As an IWBI‑approved WELL Survey Provider, ideaship delivers survey services that help projects meet the requirements of the WELL Building Standard—specifically the relevant components of Features C04 and C05.

Overview

Our Workplace Well‑being Scanner is a survey program designed to support the development of healthy and productive work environments. By combining research and practical expertise in work engagement with the scientific foundations of well‑being represented in the WELL Building Standard, our team—consisting of researchers, stress and mental‑health specialists, and WELL APs—responsibly carries out all stages of the survey process.

The Workplace Well‑being Scanner evaluates the key well‑being dimensions of workplace environments. When needed, we can expand the scope of evaluation to address additional project‑specific priorities.

Physical Environment

(Primarily aligned with WELL Feature C04)  

We assess essential physical environmental factors—such as air and water quality, hygiene, and comfort related to lighting, sound, and thermal conditions—to clarify how these conditions affect occupants’ well‑being.

Human Experience

(Primarily aligned with WELL Feature C05.1 survey themes)  

We evaluate employees’ recovery through breaks and time off. Additional experiential themes—such as mental health, emergency preparedness, healthy behaviors, resilience (workload, stress, burnout), and biophilic experience—can be incorporated as appropriate.

Survey Process

The survey is conducted primarily online, with printed formats also available. Standard language support includes Japanese, English, and Spanish, and additional languages can be provided for print‑based surveys upon request.

When you contact us, we will ask several questions to prepare a tailored proposal and cost estimate. In particular, we ask you to describe:

• What kinds of spaces exist within your project, and
• How occupants use those spaces in their daily activities.

This information allows us to accurately reflect the characteristics of your workplace in the questionnaire and to collect data that supports not only WELL certification but also practical on‑site management and improvement.

Online meetings are held as needed—not only at kickoff—to confirm project details and ensure smooth coordination throughout the survey design process.

Distribution of the survey and reminder notifications to participants are generally handled by the client.

After the survey is completed, we analyze the collected data and deliver a formal report in the required format. The report includes professional observations from both the perspective of WELL certification and the perspective of practical workplace improvement.
